Shree Shree Dhabaleswar College of Science and Technology, Bali is located on N.H. 55 in the vicinity of the temple “ Lord Dhabaleswar”, a sacred and holy God of this locality. Way back in 1980, the idea of having a higher educational institution in this rural area was dreant in the mind of a group of selfless and dedicated social workers of Bali and its adjoining areas, to cater the needs of the passing out boys and girls from the local high schools in the area. Predominantly rural and populated by mostly poor and depressed classes of people, the locality badly needed such an educational institution, where the young ones from the deprived families could pursue college education. Credit goes to the concentrated and enthusiastic endeavours of the founding members. The dream turned into reality when the S.S.D College of Sc. and Technology took its birth on 29th September, 1980..
Being permanently affiliated to CHSE, Odisha and Utkal University, this college received its first G.I.A from the Govt. of Odisha in 1985 and the Govt, has been appointing principals since 1989. In its mission and vision, the college is committed for the all-round development of the students by providing adequate opportunities to achieve excellence through academics, games and sports and other cultural activities at district and state level. Further N.S.S. & Y.R.C wings (+2 & + 3) of the college intend to foster among the students, a sense of discipline, manners humanity and humility. Social responsibility would make them responsive to the situational needs.
Through it is a perilous march from a state of nothingness to a sense of fulfillment, yet much more need to be done to achieve a niche in the domain of academics. S.S.D. College of Sc. and Tech. Bali. now looks forward to a brighter future, The college has got affiliation under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the U.G.C. This college is very optimistic about its future march to make it one of the premier. institutions of Higher Education in this rural belt.
